Successful Wire show despite dust cloud

Once again the Wire exhibition in Dusseldorf proved to be a great success, despite the untimely eruption of the Eyjafjallajokull volcano in Iceland.  Fortunately, international travel was unaffected during the early part of the week and we had a very busy stand; welcoming visitors from 46 different countries.  Our experts were on hand to discuss a wide range of enquiries; an invaluable opportunity for us to meet with existing and potential customers, agents, distributors and suppliers.

The focus of this year’s show was halogen free flame retardant compounds and there was significant interest in our standard insulation and sheathing grades, as well as the new additions to this successful range.  These included:

  •  Easy process insulation for building wires
  •  Oil resistant grades for rail, ship and offshore cables
  •  Enhanced fire performance for CPD and Fire alarm cables
  •  Easy strip flexible sheathing for improved installation of building wires
  •  Crack resistant sheathing for use in hot climates
Our thanks are extended to everyone who visited the stand; the discussions are important in helping us to understand our customer’s needs.  We look forward to seeing you at the next Wire show in 2012.
